Thickness matters more than it may seem. A recorder that is bulky can become something you only use at home. A recorder that is thin enough to carry can become part of your normal routine. The difference is important because the value of a capture device comes from using it consistently.

You could use a device like this for several different situations:

Opening NoteGPT for the first test

After looking at the hardware, I opened NoteGPT to test what could be done with recorded or existing content. NoteGPT is positioned as an artificial intelligence workspace for turning information into useful visual and written notes.

The service contains several tools rather than one single feature. You can work with YouTube videos, uploaded files, audio, web pages and text. The output can then be transformed into summaries, chapters, mind maps, flash cards, slides, infographics and other content.

The most interesting difference is the ability to use more than one model for certain tasks. Many artificial intelligence services limit you to their own model. NoteGPT brings several options into one interface, which means you can compare outputs without moving between multiple websites.

That consolidation can be useful, especially if your workflow involves several types of content. A person creating online videos may need a transcript, a summary, social media graphics, presentation slides and a short animated clip. Normally, those tasks could require several different services.

NoteGPT does not remove the need to check the results. It does, however, give you a central place to experiment with the source material.

Turning a YouTube video into notes

The first area I tested was the YouTube note tool. The process begins by entering a YouTube URL. NoteGPT then uses the available video information, including the subtitles when they are available, to create a transcript and organise the content.

I used one of my own popular YouTube videos for the test. This was useful because I already knew the subject matter and could judge whether the generated material reflected the original video accurately.

The service can create several outputs from the same video. These include:

  • Study flash cards

This is a useful way to think about NoteGPT. It is not simply a transcription tool. Transcription is the starting point. The main value comes from using the transcript as source material for other formats.

For a long educational video, a transcript can help you search for a specific point. A summary can give a quick overview. Chapters can make the video easier to navigate. A mind map can show the relationship between topics, while flash cards can turn the content into a study exercise.

For a content creator, the same video can also become a written article, a slide presentation or a series of visual assets. That could reduce the time required to repurpose existing work.

Generated slides from a video

One of the first outputs I tried was the slide generator. NoteGPT created nine slides from the video. The slides were based on the source transcript and arranged the information into a visual presentation.

The result looked better than a plain block of automatically generated text. The slides had a clear structure and were suitable as a starting point for explaining the video to another person. They would still need a personal review, especially if they were being used for a professional presentation, but the initial design removed much of the blank page problem.

A blank presentation can be surprisingly difficult to begin. You have to decide the title, the order of the ideas, how much text belongs on each slide and which points deserve visual emphasis. An automated first draft gives you something concrete to edit.

There are several ways these generated slides could be used:

  • As a draft for a business training session

The main limitation is that automatic slides cannot always understand the exact emphasis you want. A point that is central to you may be treated as a minor detail by the tool. The slides should therefore be considered a first draft rather than a finished presentation.

I would check the following before sharing them:

  1. Does the title accurately describe the video?
  2. Are the slides in the right order?
  3. Has any important context been removed?
  4. Are technical terms written correctly?
  5. Does each slide contain one clear idea?
  6. Do the images support the topic rather than distract from it?

Using NoteGPT to create flash cards

The flash card feature is aimed at learning and recall. It takes information from the source material and presents it as questions and answers. This is a simple format, but it can be useful when you need to remember facts rather than merely read them once.

In the test, one flash card asked which folder contained the first driver to be installed. Selecting the card revealed the answer. There was also an option to play audio, which could help people who prefer listening or who are studying while doing another activity.

The feature allows you to track whether you have marked a card and retake the cards later. That turns the generated material into something more interactive than a static summary.

Flash cards could be helpful for:

  • Learning technical instructions
  • Reviewing a training video
  • Studying terminology
  • Preparing for a test
  • Remembering steps in a software process
  • Checking whether you understood a presentation

The quality of the flash cards depends on the source material. If the video is vague or the transcript contains errors, the generated questions may also be weak. It is worth reviewing the cards before relying on them for study.

There is also a difference between recognition and genuine understanding. Being able to select the correct answer does not always mean you can explain the subject yourself. A good study workflow could use the flash cards first, then ask you to explain each answer in your own words.

Exporting the study material

NoteGPT provides options to download the generated material in formats such as PDF, DOC and TXT. This makes the output easier to save, print or share.

PDF is useful when you want the layout to remain consistent. DOC is more suitable when you want to edit the text. TXT is convenient for simple notes or for moving the content into another application.

Export options are important because online tools should not become the only place where your work exists. If you create a useful summary or a set of study cards, you may want to keep a copy in your own storage system.

I would also give each exported file a clear name that includes the subject and date. This is a small organisational habit, but it makes a difference when you have created many notes from different videos or recordings.

Creating mind maps from recorded information

The mind map tool takes the main topics from the source and presents them as connected branches. This is useful when the information has several related ideas and a normal paragraph summary feels too linear.

A good mind map can show the main subject in the centre, with supporting topics branching out around it. Further details can sit below each topic. This structure makes it easier to see how the information fits together.

When I tested the mind map output, NoteGPT did a good job of identifying the major areas from the video. The result was not simply a list of random sentences. It attempted to group related information into a hierarchy.

Mind maps may be useful for planning:

  • A course or workshop

For example, a video about setting up software could produce branches for installation, account settings, troubleshooting and common mistakes. A business discussion could produce branches for customers, offers, marketing, operations and future tasks.

The visual format can also reveal gaps. If one branch has a lot of detail while another is almost empty, that may indicate that the original content was unbalanced or that another explanation is needed.

Mind maps are not always the best final format. Some readers prefer a normal written guide. Their real benefit is often during the planning stage, when you are trying to understand the shape of the information before deciding how to present it.

A summary tells you what the information says. A mind map helps you see how the information is connected.

Generating infographics with different image models

The infographic tool was one of the more interesting features because it includes choices for aspect ratio, style and image model. This gives you more control than simply asking an image generator for a general picture.

Aspect ratio is especially important when you are creating visual content for a particular platform. A landscape image may be needed for a presentation or video thumbnail. A portrait layout may be more suitable for a mobile screen. A square layout can work well for some social media posts.

Some image tools do not consistently produce the exact dimensions or shape requested. Even when you specify a landscape design, the result may not fit neatly into the space where you intend to use it. Having aspect ratio choices directly inside the tool makes the workflow more practical.

The available image models included GPT Image 2, Nano Banana and Nano Banana Pro. The names and availability of models can change over time, so it is best to treat the list as a snapshot of what was available during testing.

Testing an anime style

To compare the models, I selected an anime style and used the same general source content. The first generated result included an anime character and applied the style to the information from the notes.

The output was not simply a blank decorative image. It used the subject matter as a basis for the visual composition. That is the important difference between generating a random illustration and generating an infographic from source information.

You can also add extra instructions before generating the image. This gives you an opportunity to explain the intended emphasis, visual mood or subject. A prompt could specify that the design should be easy to read, use a limited number of elements or focus on a particular section of the source material.

Additional instructions are valuable because the first result may not have the right balance. An image can look attractive while still being difficult to understand. If the purpose is education or explanation, legibility should matter more than visual complexity.

When comparing the first outputs, I preferred the GPT Image 2 result based on the visual appearance. That does not mean it will always be the best choice. The best model depends on the subject, preferred style, level of detail and available credits.

Comparing Nano Banana and Nano Banana Pro

I then tested the Nano Banana options using the same anime direction. The standard Nano Banana output looked different from the GPT Image 2 version. The Nano Banana Pro version produced a more high technology and detailed anime appearance.

Comparing models in this way is one of the most useful reasons to have several models inside one service. You can keep the source material and general brief consistent while changing the generation model. This gives you a clearer idea of what each model contributes.

If you moved between separate applications, you might need to copy the source text, repeat the prompt and adjust the settings in each one. A consolidated workspace reduces that repeated effort.

It also makes the differences easier to see. The question is not only whether an image looks good. You can ask more specific questions:

  • Which image has the clearest text?
  • Which one represents the source material most accurately?
  • Which model handles the requested layout best?
  • Which version uses the fewest credits?

  • Which image would be easiest for a reader to understand?

For a simple social media illustration, the less expensive model may be enough. For a visual guide that needs to look polished, the higher quality option may be worth the additional cost.

Understanding credits before generating images

The main practical issue with the image tools is the credit system. Generating an infographic uses credits, and the number of available credits decreases each time an output is created. This is important because experimentation can become expensive if you generate many versions without checking the cost.

During the test, the exact credit information was visible in the interface, although it was not always displayed in the most obvious place. It would be more convenient if the number of credits appeared directly on or beside the generation button before the process began.

Knowing the cost in advance helps you make a better decision. You may choose a lower cost model for an initial experiment, then use the higher quality model after you are happy with the subject and instructions.

The credit system also changes how you should write prompts. A vague prompt may produce an image that looks acceptable but does not meet your needs. You then use more credits generating revisions. A little more planning before pressing the button can reduce unnecessary attempts.

A practical process would be:

  1. Decide where the image will be used.
  2. Select the correct aspect ratio.
  3. Choose a visual style that suits the audience.
  4. Review the source notes for the most important points.
  5. Add specific instructions for the image.
  6. Check the expected credit cost.
  7. Generate one version first.
  8. Only create more versions when you know what needs to change.

NoteGPT offers a free version for trying the service. That is useful because you can test the workflow before paying for a monthly plan. The free version may have limits, but it should help you decide whether the tools fit your needs.

If you use the platform regularly, a paid plan may provide more credits or access to additional features. The right choice depends on how often you generate content and whether the results save enough time to justify the cost.

I would not upgrade simply because the tool has many features. I would first identify one or two tasks that matter to you, then measure whether NoteGPT makes those tasks easier. For example, if you regularly turn long videos into study notes, test that process several times. If you create social media graphics every week, compare the time and cost with your existing method.

Testing AI video generation

NoteGPT also includes tools for generating video. This moves the platform beyond notes and static images into more creative production work.

The video generator provides several model choices, including Gemini Omni, MiniMax H3, C Dance 2.5 and C Dance 2.0. The names and pricing options shown during testing may change, but the central idea is the ability to compare different video models within one interface.

I used the same prompt to compare several outputs. Keeping the prompt consistent is important because it gives you a fairer comparison. If you change both the prompt and the model at the same time, it becomes difficult to know why one video looks different from another.

Comparing the video results

The Gemini Omni version was my preferred result from the comparison. It had a three dimensional cartoon appearance and felt suitable for use in a YouTube video or other online content.

The C Dance 2.5 version had a more two dimensional cartoon style. That look may be better for a particular brand or audience, especially if you want something that feels illustrated rather than realistic.

The MiniMax output also turned out well. The differences were not necessarily about one model being good and another being bad. Each model interpreted the same prompt in its own way.

This is useful when you have a clear idea but are not sure which visual treatment will work best. Instead of manually rebuilding the concept in several tools, you can compare different outputs and choose the one that has the right movement, style and overall feeling.

Generated videos could be used for:

  • Short visual introductions
  • Simple educational explanations
  • Background scenes for a video
  • Visual content for social media

As with the images, generated video should be reviewed carefully. Look for unexpected objects, changes in character appearance, incorrect movement and visual details that do not match the prompt. A short generated clip can be useful, but it may still require editing before publication.

Video credits and model selection

Video generation uses credits. In the test, one of the generated videos used approximately forty credits. The interface showed the available credit information, but the cost was not always immediately obvious before starting the generation.

This makes planning even more important for video than for images. Video generations can use more credits, so it is sensible to test the prompt with a lower cost option if one is available.

You can also decide whether the video genuinely needs artificial intelligence generation. If a simple screen recording, product photograph or personal video would communicate the idea more clearly, that may be the better option.

Artificial intelligence generation is most useful when it adds something that would otherwise be difficult, expensive or time consuming to produce. It should support the message rather than become the message itself.

Other NoteGPT tools worth exploring

The image and video features are only part of the platform. The main tool list also includes AI Voices, AI Images, AI Videos, AI Slides, AI Writer and other options.

The AI Writer can help transform a transcript or set of notes into a more organised piece of writing. This could be useful for preparing a first draft, although the result should still be edited for accuracy and personality.

The AI Voices feature may be useful when you want to listen to written material instead of reading it. This could support accessibility or allow you to review notes while doing another activity.

The slides tool provides a dedicated way to create presentations, while the notes area acts as the place where source information is collected and processed. The tools overlap to some extent, but that is not necessarily a problem. It means you can approach the same source material in different ways.

For example, one recorded discussion could become:

  1. A full written transcript for reference
  2. A short summary for quick reading
  3. A task list for the work that needs to happen next
  4. A mind map for planning
  5. A slide deck for explaining the discussion

The best output depends on the purpose. A summary is suitable when someone only needs the main message. A task list is better when the recording includes decisions and responsibilities. The connection between the two products becomes most useful when you upload an audio recording from EurekaMind 2.0 into NoteGPT. The audio becomes the source material for the rest of the workflow.
