This time round I had to fix my daughter’s PopSocket and decided to create an article on how to fix a PopSocket. When my daughter first mentioned the word PopSocket, I honestly didn’t even know what she was referring to. So for those of you who don’t know what it is here’s a brief description and a photo.
What is a PopSocket?
A PopSocket is a mobile or tablet accessory that you can stick on the back of the device so you can easily hold it in your hands or use it as a stand. It’s a clever device but apparently, it has a few flaws.
What happened, how did it break?
You can accidentally break (disconnect) the front part of the PopSocket with the base that sticks to the device. I’m not sure how my daughter managed to do this but there is a way you can fix this. All you need to do is use some pliers, and a hook stick (my daughter had one from her crochet kit) but this is not necessarily needed so if you don’t have one that’s okay – you need to push the edges of the PopSocket plastic part so that the rubber part fits over the edges.
How to fix a PopSocket?
Here’s a video of me trying to fix it for the first time. I could have probably created a better video if I had some previous experience but it does clearly show that a newbie like me can fix it which will give you some hope.
How much is a PopSocket?
PopSocket prices can range from $15 to $45 depending on the design, and material of the PopSocket.
Where can you purchase a PopSocket?
Many retail stores sell the PopSocket but here’s a list of online retail stores you can buy them from here:
