Have you ever experienced the following scenario? You drive up to a petrol station and park your car, only to realise that the petrol pump hose is on the opposite side of your petrol cap. You then feel embarrassed as you have to walk back to your car to re-park it or do a loop to correctly position it on the right side. Has this ever happened to you?
Did you know there is a hidden secret icon on your dashboard to help you identify which side the petrol cap is located on the car? This seems to work for Australian cars but I’m sure it will also work for cars in other countries.
If your car has this icon and you see the petrol pump located on the right hand side, it means that your petrol cap is on the right so make sure you drive your car with the right hand side next to the petrol pumps.
If your car has this icon with an arrow pointing to the left-hand side, it means that the petrol cap is on the left-hand side so make sure you drive your car with the left-hand side next to the petrol pump. Yes, it’s that easy and it will work almost in any car.
