Hi fellow readers. It’s the first day of 2017 and I decided last night to start my own personal blog and website. I want to share my personal and business experiences here with you all and just my journey in life – I regret not starting this earlier.

Eventually, my kids may read this when they grow up and what I’ve written may even help and guide them in their own journey in life. I hope they and future generations will connect with me in a spiritual way when I’m no longer physically present on this Earth through this website.

Anyways, I purchased this domain name just before the 9 pm NYE fireworks (I fell asleep before the 12 am one – I guess I was a bit tired) and ended setting up this website whilst waiting for the fireworks.

Here’s a video of the 9 pm fireworks.

I purchased the domain from CrazyDomains because it was on sale for $5 per year (min of 2 years). I’ve never seen a .com.au domain to be this cheap!! I always wanted to purchase my own domain name for a while and since it was New Years, I thought it was the perfect time to buy it and start writing.

I live a very simple life so there will be times I will not publish anything because there really wouldn’t be much to talk about. For many bloggers, you will understand and empathise when I say that writing content is time-consuming and requires lots of attention and dedication. I hope having this blog will help me push further and harder with business and in life.

When I woke up this morning I went for my weekly spiritual cleansing session. This helps me spend some time with the higher being and connect at a spiritual level. It is a time to just reflect and learn more about myself.

ACTIVITIES

Below is a summary of today’s main activities, tasks and accomplishments:

We went to Maroubra beach and the waves were quite strong. It was quite cloudy but there still lots of people on the beach.

After playing around at the beach and trying to catch some waves, we went to refuel at a Vegan cafe in Randwick.

FITNESS WORKOUT

Today, I did a quick fitness workout which consistent of the below exercises:

  • Warm up run – 5min
  • 10x thrusters (20kg weights)
  • 20x pushups
  • 20x squats
  • Did this a total of 4 times

I tried focusing on technique rather than trying to finish the exercises quickly or with heavy weights.I’ve been exercising on a regular basis and joined the gym about 2 years ago. This will sound a bit lame but one of the reasons why I ended up joining the gym was because my brother was able to get a yearly membership for $149. That was cheap!! I renewed the following year for the same price but recently I renewed the membership for $249. It is still cheap compared to many other gyms, so I decided to continue with my fitness journey and renew it. Over the past few years I do physically feel stronger and fitter and hope to continue this for the rest of my life. I always believe that having a healthy body, mind and spirit is key to living life.

Late Lunch

Soul Burger, Randwick – I shared a Vegan Chicken burger with my wife. This was my second time being there and the burgers taste nice.

Vegan Soul Burger - Chicken

Many non-vegan they will find the taste to be quite different from the real thing but it will still taste nice. My son, who is has been a vegan since he was young due to allergies had the falafel burger. He just liked the falafel by itself so I ended up eating his share.

Arthurs pizza – My daughter who didn’t want to eat a burger had a Margarita pizza from next door. I helped her finish the pizza during our trip home. It tasted good, but I think there was some garlic on the pizza.

DAILY REFLECTION

Maroubra Beach View

I’m not a tight arse – you’re probably thinking that I’m tight, especially when I’ve mentioned the word cheap several times in this post. Let’s get this straight, I don’t believe in paying for something without doing some research and seeing which one is more cost effective and where it can be purchased for the lowest price. I would consider myself to be more money smart and thrifty rather than tight. To be honest I shouldn’t care what people think of me of how I live my life. I also believe it makes more sense to save wherever you can and put that money aside for other things. Growing up as a refugee, my parents always taught the kids not to be wasteful – both with money and with materialistic things especially when they came from a poor family. Over the years, I’ve learnt to be grateful and to appreciate everything that I have been given. I hope to pass on these values that my parents have taught to my own kids and also to practice them at the same time.
